Recent work includes providing advice on: security token is - suances; the obtention of a control agent authorisa - tion from the Luxembourg regulator; various applica - tions for crypto-asset service provider licences under MiCA; the development of a bitcoin-mining project in Europe; the acquisition of one of the world’s leading tokenisation technology providers; and DORA imple - mentation. Agustina Torino Martínez is a legal associate at Legal Node. She holds a master’s in Digital and Technology Law, and, prior to working at Legal Node, gained valuable experience at the data protection department of one of Europe’s largest insurance companies. Agustina supports clients in matters relating to asset tokenisation, cybersecurity, data protection and digital assets, assisting with legal and regulatory matters to ensure compliance with EU frameworks.

Álvaro Garrido Mesa is the founding partner of Legal Node. He is recognised as a leading tokenisation and digital assets expert in the EU. Álvaro holds 15 years of experience as a banking and finance lawyer and
fintech adviser. Before founding Legal Node, he worked in-house at world-leading technology companies, and at top-tier international law firms. He has participated in pivotal working groups and fintech legislative initiatives at national and international level to facilitate the adoption of digital assets. He is a regular speaker at main digital assets events and participates as a lecturer in dedicated digital asset courses at the Cambridge Judge Business School, the Luxembourg Digital Learning Hub and the Madrid Bar Association (Spain).
