She handles cases involving cartels, abuse of dominant position, damages claims and state aid − both in advisory and litigation roles before competition authorities and national or European courts. Admitted to the New York Bar and the Paris Bar, Olivia holds degrees from the University of Essex and the London School of Economics, as well as a master’s degree in economic law from Sciences Po Paris.

Hugo Sanchez de la Espada heads Baker McKenzie Paris’ corporate/M&A practice. He is experienced in M&A transactions for French and international clients (particularly acquisitions and sales of

French and foreign companies) and in domestic, trans-border and multijurisdictional transactions, as well as joint venture operations. In addition to corporate law, Hugo also works on private equity projects and group restructurings. He leads the CG&R cross-practice sector group in Paris and worked at the San Francisco office for two years. Hugo graduated from Université Paris 2 Panthéon Assas, Université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne, ESCP Business School and HEC Paris Business School. He is admitted to the Paris Bar.

Véronique Millischer heads Baker McKenzie Paris’s tax practice and is a member of the EMEA tax leadership team, where she is in charge of innovation. Véronique is mainly involved in the management of

complex tax issues for French and multinational groups, especially in the hotel, tourism and leisure sector. She has acquired extensive experience in managing cases involving the refinancing of real estate assets by operators (tourism or other).
