Based out of the Turks and Caicos Islands, the two founding part - ners (Sophie Stanbrook and Tim Prudhoe) are both London-trained. The real estate, development and commercial teams are headed by Sophie Stanbrook and the disputes practice by Tim Prudhoe. The firm continues to appear in all the major litigation in TCI, including public law and constitutional challenges re -
lating to same-sex marriage rights, immigration and habeas corpus. The firm also handles “big ticket” dis - putes work across a wide range of jurisdictions. In 2023, the firm opened an office in Georgetown, Guy - ana, reflecting strong growth in client demand there. Subsequently, on the cusp of that growth, the firm opened an office in Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, in 2025. The firm currently comprises 16 attorneys across its offices.

Davanya Deveaux is an attorney at Stanbrook Prudhoe in the Turks and Caicos Islands. As part of the corporate-commercial team, she acts on real estate and commercial transactions and assists investors in
City of London firm Ashursts and US firm, Sidley Austin. Sophie has been practising in the Islands for over a decade and has broadened her expertise to encompass real estate development, finance, and commercial law. Sophie leads legal teams representing several of the Islands’ largest developers and banks and advises on projects across the wider Caribbean. Sophie is admitted to practice in England & Wales (Solicitor), the Turks and Caicos Islands, the British Virgin Islands, Guyana and the Cayman Islands. Caicos Islands. Prior to joining Stanbrook Prudhoe, Sam was a partner at Steptoe International (UK) LLP. Sam leads legal teams representing several of the Islands’ largest developers and banks and advises on projects across the wider Caribbean. His expertise is used on commercial, residential and mixed-use development projects, hotel-branded developments (for both operators and developers), and he regularly acts as co-counsel on cross-border transactions. Sam is a member of the TCI Bar Council, the Law Society of England and Wales, and Commonwealth Lawyers Association. Sam Kelly is a partner in Stanbrook Prudhoe’s corporate-commercial team in Providenciales, Turks and
relocating to the TCI. Davanya serves in several professional leadership capacities. She is the representative of the Turks and Caicos Islands on the Council of the Young Commonwealth Lawyers Association. Davanya also serves as secretary of the Junior Bar Committee of the Turks and Caicos Islands Bar Association.
