Dentons Eric Silwamba, Jalasi & Linyama Legal Practitioners (ESJL) is a Zambian law firm that has been in existence for over 30 years as Eric Silwamba and Company. In 2013, it was rebranded as ESJL, following the admission to the partnership of Joseph Jalasi and Lubinda Linyama. The firm has, over the years, developed to the level of being among the top law firms in Zambia and offers boutique-style legal services to clients. ESJL can offer a wide range of services in dispute resolution, banking and finance,
mergers and acquisitions, corporate, competition, tax, energy and mining. On 7 December 2020, the firm combined with the large international group, Dentons. In addition to this chapter, on investing in Zambia, the firm has contributed to published guides on energy law, litigation and dispute resolution, em - ployment law, mining and corporate tax in Zambia. The firm is a member of the pro bono service Trust Law.

Joseph served as Chief Policy Analyst for Legal Affairs at the State House under the late President Levy Mwanawasa. He also served as a legal adviser to former President Rupiah Banda. Joseph is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and the Zambia Association of Arbitrators, and he has been involved in arbitral proceedings both as an advocate and an arbitrator.

Mailesi Undi is a senior associate at ESJL specialising in dispute resolution, taxation, corporate work and employment law. She is a tax and employment litigation lawyer and has had several appearances before the
Tax Appeals Tribunal. She continues to advise several multinational clients on various employment matters. She has also been involved in a number of M&A transactions and compliance and TMT work.
