Ignacio Sanjurjo is the leading partner of Deloitte Legal’s M&A practice in Spain. He also leads the private equity (PE) group. He has focused on PE transactions for over 30 years and advises domestic and

Alejandro Espín has been a senior associate in Deloitte Legal’s M&A department since June 2025 and also

specialises in real estate. He has advised on numerous transactions and participated in the drafting, negotiation and execution of share purchase agreements (SPAs), shareholders’ agreements, and the sale and purchase of hotels and corporate restructuring transactions (including mergers and spin-offs), in both national and cross-border transactions, while also managing due diligence processes for diverse clients. He holds a double degree in Law and Business Administration from Universidad Rey Juan Carlos and later completed a double Master’s programme in Legal Practice and Corporate Legal Advisory at IE University. He is member of the Madrid Bar Association.

Román Cantín has been a senior associate in the M&A department of Deloitte Abogados y Asesores Tributarios since June 2025 and has over seven years of professional expertise. He specialises in national

and PE funds in their transactions in Spain, encompassing a wide range of industries. He is also experienced in advising on the financing of M&A transactions and corporate and debt-restructuring transactions, as well distress transactions. Ignacio is a lecturer at Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE) and a member of the Madrid Bar Association.
