Derek Liu is an M&A partner at Baker McKenzie specialising in technology and life sciences, who has signed transactions with an aggregate transaction value of more than USD110 billion over the course of his
career. At Baker, Derek has strengthened a number of existing firm relationships by cross-selling M&A work as well as developed a number of new relationships to the firm. Derek has extensive experience in all forms of M&A, representing clients from strategic acquirers to private equity sponsors and venture-backed start-ups. He also has experience with minority investments, joint ventures and shareholder activism. His primary focus is in the technology and life sciences sectors.
Lawrence Lee is an M&A partner in Baker McKenzie’s Palo Alto office. Lawrence regularly advises clients in connection with M&A and other complex corporate transactions across a variety of industries, with a
particular focus on the technology sector. Lawrence’s practice focuses extensively on all forms of M&A transactions, private equity sales and acquisitions, corporate venture capital investments, and other complex corporate transactions. Lawrence also advises companies and their boards of directors on corporate governance and securities law compliance matters.
