1.7 Ship Ownership and Mortgages Registry The Danish Maritime Authority offers public access to preliminary information about vessels, such as ownership and mortgages, registered in the DIS or the DAS. The information is not an official copy of the registers, but rather a spe - cial database to which the public has access, and the information may therefore differ from the official registers. The database is updated approximately once a day. 2. Marine Casualties and Owners’ Liability 2.1 International Conventions: Pollution and Wreck Removal Denmark is a party to the following international conventions on pollution: • the 2010 Protocol to the International Con - vention on Liability and Compensation for Damage in Connection with the Carriage of Hazardous and Noxious Substances by Sea; • the Hong Kong International Convention for the Safe and Environmentally Sound Recy - cling of Ships, 2009; • the International Convention for the Control and Management of Ships’ Ballast Water and Sediments, 2004; • the 2003 Protocol to the International Con - vention on the Establishment of an Interna - tional Fund for Compensation for Oil Pollution Damage (the “Supplementary Fund”); • the 2001 International Convention on Civil Liability for Bunker Oil Pollution Damage; • the International Convention on the Control of Harmful Anti-fouling Systems on Ships (AFS), 2001; • the Protocol on Preparedness, Response and Co-operation to Pollution Incidents by Haz -
ardous and Noxious Substances, 2000 (the “OPRC-HNS Protocol”); • the 1997 Protocol to amend the International Convention on Prevention of Pollution of Ships; • the 1996 International Convention on Liability and Compensation for Damage in Connection with the Carriage of Hazardous and Noxious Substances by Sea; • the 1992 Convention on the Protection of the Marine Environment of the Baltic Sea Area; • the 1992 International Convention on the Establishment of an International Fund for Compensation of Oil Pollution Damage; • the 1992 Protocol to the International Con - vention on Civil Liability for Oil Pollution Dam - age; • the International Convention on Oil Pollution Preparedness, Response and Co-operation (OPRC), 1990; • the 1972 International Convention on Preven - tion of Pollution of Ships; • the 1978 Protocol relating to the International Convention on Prevention of Pollution of Ships; • the Convention on the Prevention of Marine Pollution by Dumping of Wastes and Other Matter (LC), 1972 (and the 1996 London Pro - tocol); and • the International Convention relating to Intervention on the High Seas in Cases of Oil Pollution Casualties (INTERVENTION), 1969. Regarding wreck removal, Denmark is a party to the 2007 Nairobi International Convention on Removal of Wrecks. 2.2 International Conventions: Collision and Salvage Denmark is a party to the 2010 International Convention for Unification of Certain Rules of Law with respect to Collision between Vessels.
