He also has keen interest in cybersecurity, blockchain, fintech, insurtech, medtech, digital payments and AI, and sits within the Law Society of Singapore’s IT committee.
Leveraging experience from acting in a wide spectrum of high-profile commercial and criminal litigation cases, Lionel regularly handles matters relating to internet defamation, internet fraud, online security breaches, trade secrets and misappropriation of confidential information, telecommunications regulatory issues, and software implementation and website development disputes. Lionel also advises on contentious and non-contentious IP matters, as well as compliance measures surrounding the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), and is a member of the National Council of Social Services’ work group for the PDPA.
