Daan Buylaert is a partner at Tiberghien and heads its Sports and Tax department. As a tax lawyer, he focuses on Belgian and cross-border tax issues for both Belgian resident and
sports litigation and arbitration practice. With close to 25 years of experience, Sven is a trusted adviser to many stakeholders and is well-versed in the day-to-day issues that many in the sports sector face. Sven is a member of the International Football Association (AIAF) and is also the former director of a professional football club. He lectures and publishes on several sports law-related topics.

He has particular expertise in co-ordinating an athlete’s relocation every step of the way and providing tax advice on the taxation of income received from clubs, sponsoring bodies and promotors. Daan also frequently advises clubs on all matters relating to Belgian and international tax law.
Willem-Alexander Devlies advises a wide range of national and international clients on all aspects of sports law, including regulatory matters, disciplinary and arbitration proceedings and
employment-related disputes. His clients include athletes, clubs, intermediaries and sports federations. Willem-Alexander has regularly acted as ad hoc clerk in arbitration proceedings before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne and is a judge within a Belgian sports federation. He also regularly gives guest lectures on sports law at the University of Ghent and the University of Lille.
