takeovers, equity capital markets and all aspects of company law.
a broad range of tax matters (both advisory and transactional), including the structuring and negotiation of M&A transactions, advising US-based clients on the structuring of acquisitions and inward investments in the UK and Europe, corporate restructuring matters, including financing and intellectual property holding structures, and assisting clients in relation to tax authority enquiries and audits. James has a particular focus on cross-border work. He works with a wide range of clients from large multinationals and private equity funds to privately held companies, family offices and private clients.
Helen Farr is a partner at Winston Taylor who covers the full spectrum of employment law and human resources strategy at Winston Taylor, with extensive experience in complex advisory and litigation projects. Helen
has particular expertise in working with clients in the financial, tech and professional services sectors. She has guided many banks and solo regulated firms through complex employment issues related to the introduction of the senior managers and certification regime, and on crossover employment and regulatory issues. Helen’s focus is on strategic matters, including workplace discrimination of a sensitive nature, equal pay, team moves, boardroom disputes and employment cases involving financial services regulatory issues.
