He has experience in cross-border litigation campaigns (eg, for international clients before the German courts and the UPC) as well as in representing German medium-sized companies in complex, company-tailored approaches against competitors. Lukas’s work includes detailed fact-finding and the preservation of evidence, developing suitable procedural strategies, dealing with antitrust issues and enforcing patent rights, in particular through preliminary injunctions. Another focus of his work is contractual matters, in particular on the drafting and negotiation of licence and co-operation agreements. Lukas also has extensive expertise in employee invention law and trade secret protection.

Michael’s expertise includes conducting and co-ordinating cross-border patent litigation proceedings before the German courts and the UPC, in particular for US and other international clients. The focus of his activities is medical device and chip technology as well as mobile communications. As such, Michael’s field of practice includes the enforcement and FRAND licensing of standard-essential patents (SEP), both in the field of handsets as well as throughout the automotive value chain.
