Pál Szabó is a partner at Bird & Bird, with significant experience in cross- border and domestic M&A, as well as in private equity and corporate matters. Pál acts for private and public vendors, private purchasers
and private equity firms across a range of sectors including finance, energy, TMT, chemicals, life sciences, technology, and retail and consumer. He regularly advises on competitive auction bidding processes, company reorganisation and restructuring. In addition, he frequently advises the clients on employment matters including collective redundancies, benefits and incentive programmes, and share incentive schemes, as well as on transactions involving domestic and cross-border labour law, such as company reorganisations and outsourcing. He has also advised on matters relating to senior executives and their compensation packages.
Eszter Katona is a consultant in the corporate/M&A team at Bird & Bird’s Budapest office, where she focuses on M&A transactions and other corporate matters. She also has significant experience in energy law.
Since starting her career, Eszter has advised a variety of leading Hungarian and international companies across a variety of sectors including energy, finance, telecommunications and retail. She has particular experience in advising clients on complex multi-phase group restructurings.
