The firm specialises in all aspects of intellectual property: trade marks, design, copyright, domain names, data protec - tion, personality rights, advertising law, distribu - tion rights, unfair competition and free-riding. In copyright matters, the firm provides assistance and follow-up services in terms of advice on the protection of authors’ rights, follow-up of the registration procedure by a bailiff to obtain a fixed date for a particular creation, advice on assignments and transfers, and filing of cus - toms surveillance records. Bouchara & Avocats is also skilled in the negotiation and drafting of
sales and licensing agreements, in represen - tation in disputes relating to copyright, and in all collateral issues relating to domain names and new technologies, including matters of unfair competition, which may be preferred to infringement proceedings when the copyright infringement is not certain. Regarding trade marks, Bouchara & Avocats advises and rep - resents clients in all matters of prosecution and litigation: trade mark strategy, trade mark filing and managing of portfolios, trade mark watch service, pre-litigation and litigation cases before trade mark offices and courts, in France and abroad, contract negotiation and drafting. The firm also closely works with Customs as part of the enforcement of its clients’ trade mark rights.

Adèle Maier joined Cabinet Bouchara & Avocats as an associate in April 2017 and has been a partner of the firm since January 2022. She previously worked for several intellectual

Her focus is on intellectual property law and information technology law, both of which she studied at the University of Paris Panthéon Assas and at the University of Queen Mary and Westfield College, London. Admitted to the Paris Bar, she is a member of APRAM (Association des Praticiens du Droit des Marques et des Modèles – Association of Practitioners of Trademarks and Design Law), INTA (International Trademark Association) and FFF (Fédération Française de la Franchise – French Franchise Federation). In 2023, she was elected co-ordinator of the College of Experts of the FFF, of which she has been a member for several years in her capacity as a specialist in intellectual property law. She has written and published many articles on intellectual property matters.
